| Brief (around 300 words) bio/personality outline of your character: Dr James Wilson is the middle of three sons born to a high school history teacher and a florist. He often felt neglected as a child, becaus ehe wasn't as 'good' as his older brother Julian, nor as wild as his younger brother Josh. He was eleven when his uncle Joe moved in. Joe had cancer, and James' father felt it was his duty to take care of his only brother. James bonded with Uncle Joe, and often sat with him, read to him, watched TV and played careds with him to pass the time. James took Joe's death hard, but when he emerged from the grief, he decided he would pursue a career in Oncology.
James has always been a hard worker, and a brilliant student. he learns fast and studie well. Always hovered near the top of his class. He had a reputation in med school for being one of the hardest working students. He gave his all to his rotations, even the onees he didn't care for. He was offered positions at several prestegious hospitals upon graduation, and chose to settle at Princeton Plainsboro Teaching Hospital in New Jersey. He quickly made a name for himself within the hospital, and was offered Department head of Oncology at age 29.
Most people call James 'Wilson' without the Dr title. Wilson is a loyal, dependable man. He'd give a stranger the shirt off his back. He doesn't like to sit around and do nothing. He gets restless easily, which often leads to infidelity. He cheated on his first wife less than a month after the wedding. Perhaps his greatest fault is that he could never lie about it. His first two wives eventually left him because of the cheating and the third one was well on the way to that end.

"No, Julie. it's not a problem. I don't mind. Really." James Wilson smiled at his wife. His ever loving, nagging wife. He reminded himself he loved her, he really, really loved her. There was once a time he'd do anytihng for her. That time was a long, long time ago, but he wouldn't think about that. He'd just do what she asked and go out in the cold, snowy New Jersey night to get a carton of milk for her, becase she asked. And love or no, he could never deny her anything.
He tugged open the front door, and stepped onto the porch. Something was definitely wrong. He jerked back around, but the door, and the house were gone. "Julie?" he said out loud, and the sound seemed to echo off the barren landscape. "What the..." he muttered, and took a step forward. The ground under his feet was dusty and dry, no tress, grass, or houses in sight. Only a graling red sun in an endless blue sky.
"Hello?" he called out, left hand reaching up to the back of his neck, right hand moving to stroke the tie around his neck. "Anybody? Hello?" |
